“He wanted to fight for his country,” said his heartbroken younger sister, Lilliana Calderone. “He always wanted to be there.”
Pablo Calderon joined the Army in 1997, right out of High
School. “He went straight to the army from high school,” said his
sister. “He wanted to improve himself. He was proud. He loved his
country.”
Sgt. Calderon was killed when an IED was detonated near his
vehicle in Fallujah, Iraq. Also killed in the attack was Sgt. Jose
Guereca of Missouri City, Texas.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that
others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am
proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived
